With White Guitars first foray into the realm of electric guitars, we chose to take the attention to detail, workanship, and use of the finest materials from the world of hand built classical guitars and honor a classic, single-cutaway design.

The instrument is constructed of a brilliantly figured maple, genuine mahogany body and beck, and Brazilian rosewood fretboard. The top, fretboard, and headstock are all adorned with snakewood bindings. We used Gibson ’57 PAF humbuckings to give them a classic vintage tone. The neck has two graphite reinforcement rods in addition to a double action truss rods. A strong neck ensures that the string’s energy is transferred to the body and not lost. Like all White Guitars, the Maika’i is outfitted with a polished bone nut.
