Double-cutaway solidbody electric

The Phoenix represents a further development of set-neck solidbody design. Elegant curves lead to a double cutaway reminiscent of a phoenix taking flight. This double cutaway not only makes for a highly playable instrument, it also places the center of gravity is directly underneath the heel-body joint for perfect balance, comfort, and ease of movement when playing. A phoenix rising inlay constructed of 5 types of pearl and abalone complete the visual theme of the instrument.

The Phoenix is constructed with a mahogany body, book matched maple top. The neck is constructed from an extremely rigid piece quartersawn bubinga, african blackwood, and further reinforced with carbon fiber. African blackwood is one of the world's best tonewoods, with a bell like “tap tone” that has to be heard to be believed. A polished bone nut and schaller bridge couple the strings to the body to make an extremely responsive instrument that dances as you play. The Phoenix is outfitted Golden Age vintage humbucker, featuring a coil tap for single coil operation, and a Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro in the bridge position.
