White Guitars #29 & 30 As a high school graduation present, I decided to build father and son book-matched electric guitars for my son, Tristan, and myself. We took a piece of flamed maple and sawed it in half for the carved archtop of these two guitars so that they are mirror opposites of one another. Most archtop solid body electrics have a seam down the center. This piece of maple was large enough so that no seam was necessary. The Brazilian Rosewood fretboards are also book-matched as is the headstock veneer. |
